Managing Director Nordics, Calogena Oy
Tor Stendahl joined Calogena as MD Nordics for Calogena Oy in February 2025. He has a background from the chemical industry as well as from the batteries. He previously served as Managing Director of the battery manufacturer Freyr Battery Finland and before that he worked over 25 years at German chemicals producer BASF. He has had a leading role in two battery industry related projects in Finland; at BASF he was involved in the Harjavalta precursor cathode active material (pCAM) investment project and at Freyr Battery drove the investment projects (cell manufacturing and cathode active material, CAM) in Vaasa and thereby brings with him extensive management experience and expertise in green transition investments.
Calogena, a subsidiary of the French industrial group Gorgé, was founded in 2021 with a unique mission: to decarbonize district heating.
We are developing a low temperature and pressure Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR), specifically designed for district heating.
Calogena will provide a safe, stable and carbon-free source of heat for local municipalities and energy companies looking to build the city of tomorrow.
