Kati Ruohomäki

Chief Policy Adviser, Confederation of Finnish Industries EK

Kati Ruohomäki has been Chief Policy Adviser for Energy and Climate at the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK since 2009. Ruohomäki works mostly with EU affairs (policies, strategies, legislation etc), but also at the national level. There is a growing interest in nuclear power in Europe, and the nuclear power legislation is also being reformed in Finland.

Prior to joining EK, she worked 15 years in the forest industry in various companies and roles. Ms Ruohomäki graduated with a master’s degree and a licentiate degree in chemical engineering from Lappeenranta University. She has also completed an executive MBA degree in strategic management in University in Oulu.
